PRIVACY POLICY
Your recordings belong to you.
ZoomNice is designed around local processing. This policy explains the limited information we receive when you visit, create an account or purchase a license.
Last updated July 24, 2026
The short version
- Your imported and recorded source videos are processed locally in your browser.
- We do not upload, store, sell, train on or inspect the content of those recordings.
- We receive only the account, payment and technical information needed to operate ZoomNice.
1. Who is responsible for your data
ZoomNice (“ZoomNice”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Questions and privacy requests may be sent to andyabc@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you sign in by email, Google or WeChat, we may receive your email address, display name, profile image and the provider-specific account identifier required to connect the login to your ZoomNice account.
Purchase information
Stripe processes checkout and payment-card information. ZoomNice receives purchase status, amount, currency, transaction identifiers and the email associated with the purchase. We do not receive or store your complete card number.
Support and technical information
If you contact us, we receive the information you include in your message. Our hosting infrastructure may process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser type, timestamps, security logs and error diagnostics.
3. Recordings, camera and microphone
Screen, camera and microphone access is requested only after you choose to record. Imported media, captured media, focus analysis, preview rendering and export run on your device. ZoomNice does not send the recording itself to our servers.
If you later choose to download, upload or share an exported file through another service, that service’s privacy policy applies to that separate action.
4. Chrome extension permissions
The ZoomNice recorder uses temporary access to the tab where you start a recording. This allows it to record pointer movement and clicks so focus moments can be created.
- activeTab: access to the tab you explicitly activate.
- scripting: temporary recording of click and pointer events.
- storage: local preferences and recording metadata.
Information obtained from Chrome APIs is handled in accordance with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. It is not used for advertising, credit decisions or human review.
5. How we use information
- Provide authentication, license access, receipts and customer support.
- Secure the service, prevent abuse and diagnose technical errors.
- Comply with tax, accounting and other legal obligations.
- Improve ZoomNice using aggregated or de-identified product information.
6. Service providers
We use carefully selected providers only where needed to operate the service: Stripe for payments, Resend for transactional email, Google and WeChat for optional sign-in, and hosting and database infrastructure for the website and account records. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.
ZoomNice does not sell personal information and does not use recording content for targeted advertising.
7. Cookies and local storage
We use essential cookies for sign-in, security and checkout continuity. The editor also uses browser storage to keep device-local projects and preferences. We do not currently use advertising cookies. If optional analytics are introduced, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated.
8. Retention and security
Account information is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward. Purchase records may be retained as required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention and dispute resolution. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Contact us from the email associated with your account so we can verify the request.
10. International processing and children
Our providers may process limited account and transaction information in countries other than your own, subject to appropriate contractual or legal safeguards. ZoomNice is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as ZoomNice evolves. Material changes will be posted here with a revised date. Questions or requests may be sent to andyabc@gmail.com.
